The BW works well here, it really emphasises the lines of the guitar. And speaking of lines, the curves of the body nicely offset the straight lines of the strings. Nicely done.

b) I wonder what a "washed out" slightly desaturated look would give instead of B&W... of if the background would stay B&W (or really just white because it looks to be white anyway) and have the guitar/fingers be the washed out desaturated look with just hints of color.....just a thought.
